My Amazing Mom Taught Me Right From Wrong

My Amazing Mom, Sarah and I

Let’s be the best that we can be.

I must admit, that I was fortunate enough to have been raised by an amazing mom. She taught me right from wrong, introduced me to faith… through eyes that did not have an ounce of prejudice!

As a nurse, I’ve always shown others the utmost respect, kindness, compassion and empathy. Those are the core, learned values that lead me to a career in medicine, in the first place. I’ve retired from my hospital career, but still look for opportunities to help others in need and I’m challenge you to do the same thing.

Recently, my neighbor had total hip replacement surgery. She’s a widow and I decided to help her, just like I did after her mastectomy eighteen months ago. Yesterday, I brought her home from the hospital and I planned to stay in her home with her for several days, until she feels confident with her care needs. My husband totally understands!

I must admit, that since Covid, people have become a bit narcissistic and angry towards others. Why the anger? Why can’t we treat other’s like we’d like to be treated? It’s “the golden rule!” I’m challenging you to “see the silver lining” in my challenge! Remember, you will reap the rewards tenfold! Life is too short, so let’s be the best that we can be during our earthly stay!
